The Unity Schools Trust is a Surrey based Multi-Academy Trust made up of two schools, The Magna Carta School and Bishop David Brown.

Jenny is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has been an external auditor and an internal auditor. Jenny has worked as a primary school Bursar, achieved a Certificate of School Business Management and worked in Higher Education for 10 years, latterly as Deputy Director of Finance at Royal Holloway, University of London. Jenny has been a governor at The Magna Carta School for seven years, first as a parent governor and currently as community governor.
Jenny is a trustee of the Unity Schools Trust and is chair of the trust Audit committee.
Paul Green has been Director of Operations at the Veterinary Medicines Directorate – the UK government body that regulates veterinary medicines – since 2011, when he moved to the VMD from the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. He joined Defra in 1992. Paul has had a number of roles across a range of policy areas, including agriculture, environment and rural policy; where he led a major business change programme.
Paul has also worked on secondment to the Cabinet Office, the European Commission in Brussels and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. Before joining Defra, he spent five years in the food industry. He became a co-opted governor at The Magna Carta School in 2015.
Paul is a trustee of the Unity Schools Trust and is a member of the trust Strategy & Risk committee.
Chris is a senior lecturer in the School of Management at Royal Holloway University of London where he has been a member of staff since 1997. Chris is an experienced academic leader, having been Deputy Dean of Faculty, Director of External and Executive Programmes and a Programme Director alongside teaching and research on organisation, leadership and change management. Chris is experienced in governance, being a governor at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital as well as Chair of Governors at Bishop David Brown School and a Parent Governor at Christchurch C of E Infant School in Virginia Water.
Chris is a trustee of the Unity Schools Trust and is a member of both the Trust Audit committee and the Strategy & Risk committee.
Robin has 30 years’ experience in the Energy Trading industry across Risk Management, Strategy and Consulting roles including Director of Risk roles at Conoco, Gazprom Marketing and Trading and Cheniere Marketing, Director of Strategy at Gazprom Marketing and Trading.
Robin has 10 years’ management consultancy experience including Director at PwC Consulting and Associate Partner at PA Consulting, extensive experience developing and chairing corporate Risk and Strategy committees and strong organisation and process design experience.
Robin has an MA and an MEng from Cambridge University, he is a trustee of the Unity Schools Trust and a member of the Trust Strategy & Risk committee.
Suresh is Head of Client Strategy for EMEA Equities at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. His career has spanned across the Management Consultancy and Investment Banking sectors, including senior roles at Ernst & Young and Goldman Sachs. He has led the implementation of significant business change programmes at leading global financial services firms.
Suresh has extensive experience of executing operational strategies, leveraging appropriate technologies to achieve long term performance improvements.
Suresh is a trustee of the Unity Schools Trust and a member of the Audit & Risk Committee.
Ben is UK Managing Director of management consultancy 3gamma where he has grown and led a successful business change practice delivering transformation programmes from £1 million up to £20 million in complex organisations. He has over 16 years’ experience at divisional and board level in professional services companies ranging from start-up to €250m turnover.
He has experience of preparing and managing company acquisitions and mergers, ensuring that key staff are retained during integration of the companies (and cultures), and ensuring that the merged organisation meets the purpose of the acquisition.
Ben is a long standing member of a Vistage CEO & MD peer group which meets monthly and focusses on board issues in 12 diverse companies. Ben is also an executive coach to directors and senior managers and their teams and has studied coaching and behavioural change at Henley Business School.
Ben is married with 3 bilingual children in primary school. His interests include running (aiming for the London Marathon in 2020), photography and space (occasionally teaching children in primary years 1 to 4.) He studied MEng (Hons) Aeronautics and Astronautics at the University of Southampton (1993-97).

Philip worked in the IT Services industry for 30 years in a range of UK and European management roles in Service Delivery, Sales and Marketing.
He became a secondary school parent governor in 2000, was chair of governors at The Magna Carta School from 2006 to 2017, became a community governor at the Hythe Primary School in 2012 and he supported the governing body at a Surrey Primary school as a Babcock Additional Skills Governor for 15 months during which time the school was removed from special measures.
Philip established the NRLP chairs of governors’ meetings in 2012, the chairs meet each term to share best practice in governance and collaborate on governor training and development.
He chairs the Resources committee at the Hythe Primary School, has been chair of trustees since The Magna Carta School converted to academy status in August 2011, is chair of the Unity Schools Trust and is currently chair of the trust Strategy & Risk committee.
